Born in 1949. In 1965 he graduated school No.160 in Taiga in the Kemerovo region, in the same year he entered the physics and technical faculty of the Tomsk State University. He graduated with honors in 1970, having qualified as a physicist with a degree in ballistics. In 1971 he entered the graduate school of Tomsk State University, since 1972 - a full-time employee of the Institute of Applied Mechanics at the University.

He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in 1977 for his ph.d. doctoral thesis in 1992 in the specialty of mechanics of solid structure. Since 1995 he has a professor.

The total number of publications (without talking points) is more than 200, including 6 monographs, 5 textbooks, 8 author's certificates.

Currently, he is the head of the Department of Mechanics and Graphics Tusur, the lead researcher of ISPMS SO RAS.
